Antique Chinese Chest

A wonderful Chinese chest from the 1800s, beautifully hand carved from ebonized wood with delicately painted drawings of playful boating scenes. It includes a removable insert made of engraved pewter that was originally used to store tea but would make for a unique jewelry storage or for other precious keepsakes. It's in wonderful condition considering it's age, with some wear including loss of gloss, minor scratches and dents, but overall with beautiful patina and charm.
